This session focuses on the various forms of Power of Attorney that a real estate professional may have to deal with in their job.
The session will answer the following questions:
- What are the different types of PoA?
- When does a PoA come into effect?
- How is a PoA revoked?
- What can and can’t an attorney do?
- What conditions can be imposed on the document?
- What if the Attorney dies?
- What if the Donor dies?
Along the way we’ll discuss the role of executors & probate, and look briefly at the impact of a client’s death on progress of real estate transactions
