This session focuses on the various forms of Power of Attorney that a real estate professional may have to deal with in their job.
The session will answer the following questions:

  • What are the different types of PoA?
  • When does a PoA come into effect?
  • How is a PoA revoked?
  • What can and can’t an attorney do?
  • What conditions can be imposed on the document?
  • What if the Attorney dies?
  • What if the Donor dies?

Along the way we’ll discuss the role of executors & probate, and look briefly at the impact of a client’s death on progress of real estate transactions.
